Success Stories
A sampling of EnergyNext's success stories shows why clients value the firm's services. In short, EnergyNext eliminates much of the uncertainty and risk in the new energy marketplace, providing its customers with ready access to savings at little or no up-front cost.
Energy
AllianceSM Programs
Business
associations, including chambers of Commerce and trade groups, have retained
EnergyNext to establish and manage Energy AllianceSM programs.
Through Energy AllianceSM programs,
members of the groups can get access to better pricing for electricity
and natural gas, consulting services from EnergyNext, renewable energy
programs and other benefits. Energy AllianceSM programs
help groups retain and attract membership, and expand their revenue
base.

Municipal
Electric and Gas Alliance (MEGA)
MEGA was a
pioneer in energy consumer aggregation, beginning in 1998 as the Tompkins
and Tioga Counties Electric and Gas Alliance, and now encompassing Broome,
Cortland, Otsego, Schuyler and other counties as well. EnergyNext helped
the sponsors set up the group buying program and has acted as buyers'
agent to MEGA throughout its existence. MEGA serves over 2,500 electric
and gas accounts, including municipalities, school districts, businesses
and others in several upstate NY counties.

Demand-Response Programs
EnergyNext, Inc. assisted clients in industrial
and public sector settings to participate in New York State's demand-response
programs, whereby large electric customers voluntarily curtail their
usage at times of high prices or system stress (peak load). EnergyNext
assisted in preparing applications, obtaining funding for reactive metering,
monitoring participation and assuring accurate compensation for participants.
Renewable Energy
In these days of high prices for imported energy, more and more customers are
interested in obtaining energy from domestic, renewable sources. EnergyNext
has developed programs with its clients to obtain energy both from
wind and other renewable sources, such as landfill gas. EnergyNext continues
to search for and develop options for its customers that respond to
their desire to obtain energy from domestic, renewable and environmentally
sound sources.
